MyVita Butyric Acid is a food for special medical purposes containing microencapsulated sodium butyrate. The innovative microgranulation technology, developed on the basis of clinical research, enables gradual and even release of butyric acid throughout the gastrointestinal tract.

All ingredients are enclosed in a plant-based cellulose capsule without colourings.

Properties

Butyric acid is an organic compound belonging to the group of short-chain fatty acids. It is supplied to the body through food and is also naturally produced by bacteria in the large intestine during the fermentation of undigested food components, particularly carbohydrates and dietary fibre.

MyVita® Butyric Acid uses an innovative microgranulation technology in which a lipid coating gradually dissolves, allowing the active ingredient to be released progressively along the intestinal tract.

This technology helps prevent the entire active ingredient from being released only in the initial part of the digestive tract. The lipid microcoating also helps neutralise the characteristic unpleasant taste and odour of butyric acid.

Butyric acid serves as an energy source for cells of the gastrointestinal tract and is involved in maintaining the intestinal environment and the integrity of the intestinal barrier.

Intended Use

For the dietary management of:

• irritable bowel syndrome (IBS),

• inflammatory conditions of the intestinal mucosa,

• intestinal microbiota disorders,

• functional bowel disorders, including constipation and diarrhoea.

The product is intended for adults and should be used under medical supervision.

Ingredients

Sodium salt of butyric acid (sodium butyrate coated with palm oil), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (plant-based cellulose capsule shell).

Active Ingredient

Daily serving – 3 capsules – contains:

Sodium butyrate – 360 mg.

Directions for Use

Take 3 capsules daily with water.

A minimum supplementation period of 3 months is recommended.

Precautions and Contraindications

The product is not intended for parenteral use.

Do not use in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the product ingredients.

The product must be used under medical supervision.

It is not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition.
